Auditing

Philosophy and Approach
We believe that an audit is a year round obligation. By working with our clients throughout the year, we are able to assist them with accounting and financial reporting decisions that have a direct impact on the audited financial statements. Furthermore, we view this as a critical aspect in building a mutually beneficial long-term relationship. We encourage our clients to contact us at anytime throughout the year regarding any issue.

We also believe in assigning experienced professionals to all of our engagements. That is why we have assembled highly motivated and experienced individuals who are committed to providing superior auditing services to our clients. We guarantee that the professional staff we have assigned to this engagement will provide you with services unmatched.

We have established and utilize a paperless audit process, which requires us to request and obtain certain information (i.e., trial balance, general ledger, etc.) in electronic format. We use advanced technology and carefully designed internal controls to utilize the paperless audit process to the maximum, which enhances our ability to provide you with an effective and efficient audit.

In conjunction with our paperless audit process, we use the Practitioners Publishing Company’s (PPC) Guide to Audits of Local Governments (the Guide) as a reliable aid to assist us in the design and implementation of our audits. The Guide is accepted by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) Practice Division and the AICPA Division for CPA Firms. Adherence to this Guide provides us additional assurance that we comply with professional standards.
